The North Fork Valley has long been acclaimed as a peaceful respite with beautiful views and a laid-back culture. It draws those searching for a slower pace and outdoor adventure from all over the West. The greatest treasure of this valley has yet to be fully discovered- that it is an oasis of healing.
The healing properties of this valley are a part of the lore and tradition of its native people groups. The Southern Utes, a migratory tribe, would come here every year to conduct their healing rituals in front of Needle Rock. They considered this to be a valley of healing and it continues to be curative on many levels.
