Writing As Remedy

Mondays 530-730PM at Wellspring Vitality. Each session is by donation and classes are drop-in.

Explore creativity through the healing journey of memoir writing. Writers and non-writers alike are encouraged to embark on this transformative journey. This workshop creates a safe space for all storytellers, providing an open platform for self-discovery and growth.

Memoirs offer a powerful avenue for healing through the exploration and sharing of poignant memories. Within the supportive environment of the ongoing group class, students will gain valuable writing tools and form lasting bonds with fellow writers.

Seasoned instructor Liz Evans will lead these sessions with thought-provoking prompts and group feedback to help shape your narrative. Join in and discover the healing power of stories.

Loretta Columbia

Licensed Art Teacher & Artist

I have been an art teacher for over 21 years in public schools and numerous art camps.  I feel so very blessed to have experienced this role in my life.  Through my experience with students, I have developed my own personal approach to art and teaching it.  One of my main focuses is for students to experience their own signature for art.  I make an effort to expose them to master artists, folk art and different cultures from around the world.  My hope was and is to teach tolerance and understanding for others through art.  I also encourage exploration and experimenting with mediums and learning new art techniques.

My family moved from the Front Range to the Valley 2 years ago after years of visiting and planning.  I have 4 grown children, grandchildren, dogs and a husband.  I love hiking, cross-country skiing, fly fishing and traveling.  Of course, I love making a mess in the art room!

Art Exploration

In each session, students will learn a variety of different art techniques and styles which include abstract, kaleidoscope, kinetic art, 3d art, painting, mosaics, printmaking and more with licensed teacher, Loretta Columbia.   Each session will have a theme.
