About Katie:
Katie Snyder is a Trauma-Informed Embodiment Guide and Massage Therapist offering an integrative, heart-centered approach to healing and relaxation. Her path into this work began with Kundalini Yoga, where she first discovered the profound connection between breath, movement, energy, and emotional well-being. That early exploration sparked a commitment to studying the body, the nervous system, and the many ways we can support healing through presence and touch.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field, Katie draws from extensive training in massage therapy, occupational therapy, yoga, breathwork, and sound healing. Alongside her formal training, some of Katie’s most meaningful learning came through caring for her mother during her time of illness. That experience deepened her understanding of compassionate care and reinforced her belief that healing happens not only through technique, but through presence, patience, and attuned support.

Katie’s trauma-informed approach prioritizes safety, agency, and nervous system regulation, creating space for clients to reconnect with their bodies at a pace that feels supportive and empowering. Her sessions weave together deep tissue, myofascial release, Swedish massage, vibration, breathwork, and sound healing, in an intuitive way, meeting each person where they are to support them in unwinding their physical and energetic tension.

One of Katie’s favorite tools is the gong, which she often incorporates to help people soften, settle, and naturally drop into the rhythm of their breath. The deep, resonant tones create a spacious soundscape that supports relaxation and invites the nervous system to unwind, making it easier for clients to release tension and drop into the present moment.

We are so blessed to have Katie on the team at Wellspring Vitality. She also hosts retreats in Missouri, and yoga classes at the Hotchkiss Yoga Tree. You can find Katie at www.becomeunfurled.com.
