Wellspring Vitality Launches Free Shiftwave Sessions for Veterans and First Responders, Announces Clinical Trial Partnership
Wellspring Vitality is expanding its commitment to supporting veterans and first responders by introducing Shiftwave sessions free of charge beginning July 15. The initiative is part of a broader collaboration with the Veterans Affairs Research and Development Department in Grand Junction and Shiftwave to study the real-world impacts of this emerging wellness technology.
As a veteran-owned and veteran-centered wellness organization, Wellspring Vitality has built its mission around providing meaningful healing opportunities for those who have served. While founder and owner Liz Evans is the center’s only veteran massage therapist, every practitioner at Wellspring is deeply committed to supporting veterans through compassionate, personalized care. To date, Wellspring has provided massage therapy, acupuncture, physical therapy, and mental health services to veterans and first responders throughout the North Fork Valley and surrounding communities.
Evans first experienced Shiftwave a year ago during a trial session with the technology.
“I sat in the anti-gravity chair, put on a light-blocking eye mask and headphones, and went on a journey as the chair vibrated at different frequencies,” said Evans. “My entire nervous system was profoundly affected. After my first session, I went home and slept as deeply as if I’d spent the entire day running the river. The second time, despite living with PTSD and ADHD, my nervous system became so calm I could barely speak. It was an incredible sense of peace.”
That experience inspired Wellspring’s pursuit of bringing Shiftwave to Western Colorado.
Shiftwave is the creator of Autonomic Renewal™, an approach focused on restoring and strengthening the autonomic nervous system: the body’s upstream regulator of sleep, recovery, focus, stress response, and resilience. The technology has been utilized by professional athletes, deployed to support individuals on the front lines in Ukraine, and studied among veterans and first responders. Most recently, an unpublished study conducted through the University of Ohio ranked Shiftwave as the top-performing wellness technology among those tested for reducing inflammation markers.
Over the next year, Wellspring Vitality will participate in clinical trials designed to collect real-world data on how Shiftwave may support nervous system regulation, recovery, and overall well-being.
“This technology has tremendous potential,” said Evans. “Because inflammation and nervous system dysregulation are underlying contributors to so many health challenges, we believe Shiftwave could become a game changer for many people. We will be receiving advanced training so we can provide cutting-edge, informed care around its implementation.”
While some contraindications exist, most individuals are eligible to experience the technology.
To introduce the community to Shiftwave, Wellspring Vitality will host a free educational workshop on Tuesday, July 15, at 6 p.m. at 110 7th St, Unit B in Hotchkiss. Attendees will receive an in-depth overview of the technology, learn about the upcoming clinical trials, and discover how Shiftwave may support health and resilience. Non-First Responders will also receive 50% off their first Shiftwave session.
Veterans and first responders interested in participating in the free program beginning July 15 are encouraged to call Wellspring Vitality at (970) 872-9355 or stop by the center to add their names to the list. Visit wellspringvitality.com/SHIFTWAVE for more information.
